Two Tigers was engaged to curate and produce an art installation at the 2018 United States of Women Summit, held at the 54,000 square foot historic Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall.
Featuring artwork by:
Amplifier, Kate Deciccio, Nia Keturah, Erica Weitz, Superwaxx, Favianna Rodriguez, and Lisa Marie Thalhammer.
The artwork featured at the 2018 United State Of Women Summit was by female-identifying and gender nonconforming individuals who are practicing at the intersection of art and activism. As a means of addressing systemic racial/economic/gender inequality, this artwork centers women of color, celebrates intersectionality, and encourages inclusive communities. From parachutes created by teams of 'Artivists' for the historic 2017 Women’s March in Washington D.C. (painstakingly restored for display) to Amplifier’s freely distributed open source protest art and beyond — the artwork is as radical as it is empowering.
