Since 2023, Two Tigers Productions has supported CREATE CA with logistics and production for their annual Arts Advocacy Day at the California State Summer School for the Arts at CalArts.
Only 11% of California schools provide the visual and performing arts courses required by the California State Education Code, making Arts Advocacy Day crucial to spreading awareness about inequitable learning conditions across the state.
This dynamic event includes a compelling keynote speaker, interactive workshop sessions, take aways and concrete action steps – all with the goal of empowering students to creatively advocate for arts equity in their schools and communities.

One of the things we do best at Two Tigers is provide external support for organizations doing the boots on the ground work. Including advanced, day-of, and wrap services, Two Tigers worked in close collaboration with the CREATE CA team to ensure seamless event roll out. We are well versed in the vital, but often overlooked, minutiae of production and excel at providing the infrastructure necessary to ensure cross-team communication. We designed a simple and effective digital registration and communication system which allowed 500+ students to self select their breakout workshops, with mobile device reminders and directions to insure smooth transitions between sessions. We additionally leveraged our rich experience in arts education and our strong network across LA to recommend teaching artists to lead workshop sessions, further building out the diverse array of creative perspectives presented.
This was also an exciting opportunity for us to collaborate with the CREATE CA team once again, having consulted on an organizational communications strategic planning process in 2018 (under their previous name of California Alliance for Arts Education).
